Talk to a career counselor. You can transfer your credits earned to another degree program that might be more suitable to your interests. If your "gut" tells you to get out--do it now, not four years later.
Ask yourself--are you just burnt out or do you really hate the the program? Law school is not easy. Be honest with yourself.

here' the thing, is it really hard for people around you to get in the law school you're at? if it is, i think you should reconsider since it's an opportunity not everyone can have. i mean, you should be grateful. while you're thinking about dropping out of law school, someone somewhere is crying not being able to get in.
about the feeling, there are two possibilities why you don't feel good about being in the law school: first, its because you're not really into it, second, you haven't got used to the life of a law school student.
if it's the first, i think you should stop it. it's simply wasting you're time--doing things you don't like. probably it's not your world. it's not who you really are--you don't belong there.
but if it's the second, i think you need to learn how to get used to. well, you know what they say about successful life: no pain, no gain. every good thing comes from hard work. don't give up so fast. if you keep running, you will never be able to get through. just be tough.
wanna hear some successful drop out stories? hmm you dont sound much of a fighter. you seem to wanna get good things without hard efforts. am i right? come on, dude! life is about ups and downs. just because there are millions of drop out people becoming successful, it doesnt mean you can drop your a-s-s out and hope you'll get good things out of it the way they do. it's not whether there's a successful drop out story or not---it doesnt matter. what matters is what you choose to do or to be. it's just you who makes things different. no matter what the circumstances are, if you are a different person, you're gonna get a different result out of it. dude, i hope that helps.

Hey there- I don't know how useful my advice will be since I am also a first year law student.
I also feel like dropping out of law school at times, but what keeps me going is that there is only ONE month left to the worst part of it (your first year).
After this year, everything will get easier, you'll become more accustomed to it. Yes it will suck, but time goes fast and in the end you'll be happy you stuck through it.
If you know law school is not for you, you don't want to be a lawyer, you're wasting your tuition and you're completely miserable, at least finish this semester and think about it in the summer when you're not in a law school environment.
Sometimes we let the stress and hatred for law school cloud our judgment and goals.
Its difficult, and I truly hate the competitiveness of it, it leaves you feeling worthless and I don't think we should have to compare ourselves to other students. Honestly, think of how fast this first year has gone by, after next year you're pretty much done b/c third year is supposedly a joke.
So keep your head up, things will get better!!

I used to love photography...until I went to a very prestigious (and expensive) photography school. When they showed me the "right way" to do it, which was co-incidentally their way, I ended up hating it. I left and played around with different career options. I took a job as a teacher's aide to help pay for flying lessons (was thinking of a career as a CHP pilot) and ended up liking it more than I ever thought I would, so I became a teacher. That was 13 years ago and I've never regretted it.

You've come such a long way to becoming a Law School Student... I don't think you should give it all up! What about all the hard work, you've done. I know it may get hard sometimes, but you gotta hang in there! Stay focused, and don't drop out. You ONLY have 2 more years left! PLEASE don't quit now!!!!!!!!!!

I am drop out in Journalism. because my father retired from govt. office. When I gained a lucrative job, i reentered college but my love for writing wanes because 4 year course is too cheap for me so I entered law and have no regrets because its most entertaining course despite voluminous provisions and long studies. No you must not drop
