Cats are pregnant for between 61 and 69 days before they give birth. It's not technically legal to give kittens away before they're 8 weeks old.

Justation for a cat is approx. 63 days. For giving the kittens away, 8 weeks. The mama cat will keep them clean, and teach them the potty box. Mama's milk, then some kitten chow. Make sure the mama cat has plenty of food and water 24 hrs. a day available at all times while pregnant, and after. Take care.

Cats generally have pregnancies lasting from 58 to 65 days.

They can become pregnant at as early as six months of age and go into heat twice a year, in the spring and the fall. Cats are induced ovulators, which means that they need stimulation by a male in order to release eggs from their ovaries. Until this happens, a cat can remain quite uncomfortable throughout the heat period, which can last up to three weeks.

OK, this is my question. Lol. My cat is always pregnant. She is usually pregnant around 4-5 months... I think. Anyway, you are able to give the kittens away whenever they are winged from their mother and eating catfood. I'd say 8 weeks.

Every cat I have had has given birth within 3 months. I purchased a cat from the humane society and he was 8 weeks old and already fixed. They are doing it younger and younger now.

You should be expecting kittens soon. I find the duration is usually 60 to 70 days. 8 weeks in the bare minimum in terms of adoption. Kittens seperated from their mother any earlier, even if they grow healthily, might get temper problems when older.
