Vicki was chosen to be on the Carol Brunett show because of her resembelance to Carol. She also did Mama's Family with Ken Berry. This is in reruns on ION channel and sometimes on CMT. I heard she was doing a Two Woman Show starring herself and Mama which is on tour around the U.S. right now.
She also sang the hit song "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia." She got her start singing with a group called "The Young Americans", before Carol 'discovered' her in her High School play.

Vicki Lawrence got her start on the Carol Burnette show, I believe. I don't like her anymore because on her talk show she was downright rude to some of her guests.
