Gibs from South Africa did it against Holland and the did it in world cup 07! before that Shahid Afridi score 4 6's in a over but Gibbs broked his record and in the same match South Africain wicket keeper brocked another record of Shahid Afridi scoring the fastest 50 now only 1 record of Afridi is left and that is the fastest and the second fastest 100 run

It is Herschelle Gibbs of south africa against the netherlands in the Group A league match of the World Cup 2007 at St. Kitts on March 16, 2007.
The bowler was Dan Van Bunge, it was his fourth over, and the 30th over of the South african innings in progress.
The Record in detail:-
29.1 - He Charges down the track to put the ball away over long-on for a SIX!
29.2 - Ball sails through on the leg & middle stump line, Gibbs disposes this one over Long-Off and into the Stands - SIX!
29.3 - This time a much flatter ball, but makes no difference gibbs repeats the treatment meted out to the previous ball, this one also a SIX! and over long-off
29.4 - A low full toss and this one goes over deep midwicket and into the stands SIX again!
29.5 - Short length ball down the off stump, this time the ball takes the wide long-off route and into the stands... SIX!
29.6 - A Full length ball outside the off stump is sent flying over deep midwicket.... THATS IT! A WORLD CUP RECORD HAS BEEN SET BY HERSCHELLE GIBBS! SIX SIXES OF AN OVER!!!

Herchelle Gibbs is the only batsman in ODI cricket to hit 6 sixes in an over.But third in the first class cricket. Gary Sobers and Ravi Shastri did it in Counties.
