He had 65 pts but his team only one by 5....that's not MVP status to me...Making 65 pts you shouldn't have to worry about takin risk taking shots...the game should have been blown open but now..he wanted to do everything but yet they only won by 5..pitiful!

Now adays....your team has to be a serious contender to even be considered for MVP...like Nash from the Suns and Dirk from the Mavs. If Kobe had the Lakers sitting in 4th place in the west...no question he's MVP...but the fact of the matter is his team was on a huge losing streak before that game and are struggling to make the playoffs. Thats not MVP material

If this is your argument for Kobe being MVP, how do you justify this after Nash's performance against a far superior team ( Mavs) the previous night? Do not even say Kobe has no support and Nash does. Do you think his performance tonight would have made the lakers eclipse the mavs? They won by only 5 against the Blazers. get real. CHUUCH!!!

Get off the dudes c0ck already. He will never ever ever ever ever be near Jordans status.
Facts: MVP's: Kobe 0, Jordan 5
Finals MVP's: Kobe 0, Jordan 6
I'll go ahead and just stop right there. Nash is going to win it again this year. Sorry. And is it a mystery why the Lakers have no supporting cast? No one wants to play w/ him. Wonder why???? Maybe it's the 50+ shots a night?

Kobe's amazing, to be sure, and the best little man in the NBA since Jordan retired. That being said, his team is not elite, which automatically disqualifies him from being MVP (from both my and history's perspective). Keep in mind that scoring high point totals in one game does not win you the MVP; Chamberlain did not win in '62, when he had his 100 point game as well as averaging 50.4 ppg for the season, because his team was mediocre. Jordan did not win the MVP the year he scored 69, his career high (1990).

I am so happy they actually won today. Im from LA and the Lakers are my favorite team but all in all kobe is probably the second best player ever because he is not better than Jordan.

Kobe Bryant isn't the MVP. It will be between Nowinski, Steve Nash, Chris Bosh, and Tim Duncan.

i just finished watchng it, that was a great game. i just hate the fact the team is so inconsistent that they need Kobe to be superman to win some of these games. but still great game.
