Not just medical, but for freedom. Every drug should be legal and treated like booze: taxed and made by reputable companies, not Jethro in his trailer.

Yes but not by smoking it. Smoking anything is really hard on your lungs. And it should be grown under the best most supervised conditions. As in...organic, with no pesticides or chemicals added to it. And mfr monitored carefully to make sure it is a pure product, just like other meds are supposed to be. Not saying this happens in all pharmaceuticals labs but it should, here's hoping that all meds become safer to use because they are made under more strict conditions.

Street weed, smoked, is certainly not the answer for someone who is already sick. But as a relaxer, an appetite stimulant, and a pain reliever, it can certainly be used to help sick people manage their symptoms...of course, we hear about this all the time with cancer. I wonder if you can get the benefits of pot without getting HIGH? I mean, getting high can be fun, certainly a lot better than feeling like crap, but if you could remove it's intoxicating properties it would make the drug safer to use...plus it would have less of a black market.

Weed should be legal for anyone who wants to smoke it. In all my years of living i have never met anyone who smoked weed that was addicted to it...i have met quite a few alcoholics and was abused by one. In all my yearsof life i have yet to see a violent crime commited by someone high on weed, and yet everyday we see drunk people fighting, and driving/killing people...i think if alcohol is legal, pot should definately be. think about it....how many stages of crap does alcohol have to go through in order to make beer, wine, liquor etc....and how much is unnnatural? look at pot---plant a seedm water it, cultivate it and smoke it...you cant get more natural than that....i dont think God put beer and tequila and stuff on the earth, however he did put weed....lol. Weed is a pain reliever, relaxant, anti-depressant and much more all rolled up into one all natural joint...with at least half the effects of cigarettes..i believe you would have to smoke 8 joints to equal one cigarette...something like that.....how anyone can argue that weed is bad and addicting is beyaond my comprehension...must be a bunch of idiots who actually believe the bullsh** commercials they play, and dont actually know how to do research and find out the effects for themselves....half of the ones on the tv are myths or exaggerations anyway.

as someone who used it medically, I give that an emphatic YES! It is a lifesaver, makes the suffering tolerable, gets you through when nothing else can! Thank god for weed!

I think it should be available for medical reasons and I think access to it for that purpose should be strictly regulated as it is in other countries where it is available, like Sweden. In other words, you should not be getting your supply of medical Marijuana from the street corner "vendor".

My uncle died from AIDS years ago. Seeing it First hand, AIDS and Cancer are very sad and painful ways to die. Marijuana was the only thing that somewhat "helped" my uncle with his constant nausea. Its works for numbers of patients, just ask them. It relieves pain, and more important, nausea.

Certainly. Why can a doctor prescribe morphine, but not marajuana?

Of course, I think it should be legalized, regulated, and taxed heavily.

I believe that it should be allowed because doctors want to give you drugs that you get addicted to. You don't get addicted to pot. It's just a relief of pain. It's better than tobacco.
