Tell her about Pogo.com. They have free online poker games and lots of other cool games she can play too. Good Luck with helping her out. Hopefully she is like my mom. My mom is around the same age and is a wiz with computers.

Online poker for real $cash is absolutely not a good thing. A router with a firewall and high speed internet is an excellent idea. She will grow with her computer and it will become personalized over time by downloads and purchased programs. She will enjoy programs about her hobbies, gardening etc. and most of the things you like except maybe music choices. Music doesn't seem to cross the generation gap in most cases. Your mon may be 60 but don't let the halo fool you, she is thinking 20.

you should load maybe microsoft office - in case she wants to write letters or recipes in Microsoft word. She can also balance her checkbook or expenses with Microsoft Excel. Download some free online games for her maybe invest in a webcam - for her to chat live with family members. Also for security mesures - make sure she has an antivirus, spyware blocker/pop-up blocker and firewall installed.

Awww I think that is so cute. Just be as patient as you can with her. Does she like bingo? Why not introduce her to Yahoo Answers, show her a catagory that she can relate to. She'll enjoy that.
