Here are a few tips:
Places to see: Since you will be in Lagos, visit the niteclubs on Victoria Island or in Ikeja - they party like crazy, especially from Wednesday nights. Go shopping at the Galleria or The Palms [Malls]. Visit the National Museum and the MUSON Center on Lagos Island. Go to the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos Mainland. Visit 'The Shrine' - it's a musical temple where you can listen to 'afrobeat'. Go watch 'Lagbaja' on the last friday of the month at 'motherlan' - the dancing is a blast.
Cultural Habits:
GREET anyone who looks older than you before speaking or when you meet them for the first time. A 'good morning/good day' should be enough. If you can say the greetings in Yoruba, Lagosians will be thrilled. Shake hands with the men; you may/may not shake hands with the women. If you reside on Victoria Island, you'll be able to walk about on your own. However, try not to go to far from your hotel since, if you get lost, it may be difficult to find someone who can provide help you can actually use. Speak English slowly. I'm sure you have an accent but most people speak English and should be able to help you without much ado.
Lagosians are pretty easy-going. You'll be fine if you just act yourself.

for what i know,the environment in India is pretty much like Nigeria: crowded streets just like any street in India.Motorbikes are also common in Nigeria just like in India.
