There are volumes of Irish myth and folklore before the introduction of Christianity.... High Kings and Queens, great heroes (Cuchulainn), tragic stories (Grainne and Diarmiud)... Tuatha deDanann, Tain Bo Cuailnge (The cattle raid of Cooley), Fairy stories... If you want to know more , look up Celtic mythology or druidic / pagan mythology. : )

There is A LOT of history from Ireland before it was invaded. I have a book called "Heroes of The Dawn" that explains a lot of it really well, I highly suggest it.
