Are Japanese more healthier than Americans?

Question

It seems some Americans have catered to becoming very obese or too under weight, malnourished, and in debt, while the Japanese are much healthier, thinner, and financially well off.

I don't mean to offend my fellow American neighbor, but it seems that Japanese citizens are more intelligent, more artistic, and more economical.

If anyone can explain this to me, perhaps every American, including myself, can learn about being more healthy, more intelligent, artistic, and economical.

First the reason why they are very healty are because they live on islands, so they don't have much area to have roads to be build. This resulted them to have subway trains and other type of mass transportation being built. Also, since a car is more expensive over there and gas prices are higher, they prefer to walk. Also, they are surrounded by oceans, that means that they can not have too much cattle to be grown there, so their main protein came from fish, which is healthier than meat.
They are financially well off because they predetermine their spending limits and they don't used too many credit cards. most of them presevere with their money in the bank. I wouldn't say that they are more artistic or more intelligent, but they are driven to be more culturally involved in their past and present and they are more focus on making their people more educated and to make their people prosper. While in the united states, capitalism rules everything. Don't believe me? Try to get a cell phone that works with every network we have here, you probably won't be able to.
People in the united states are becoming obese and underweight because they have lose many of their common sense, since they all chose to believed the media more than they chose to use their head. There's more cases of obesity and anorexic and bulimic in the western world, than it is in ASIA.
Also, most people in the united states are stuck up and think that they are better than others from other country and that they are ignorant with other culture. Being a democratic nation is a given greatness, but enforcing other country to be a democracy by invading their land is not the best way to teach them democracy.
What we need to do to make other people to have more common sense is to educate them so that they can start thinking again instead of waiting to be told what to do.

I lived in Japan for a while (Tokyo) and found that they had a much healthier lifestyle. People generally take public transportation, which means walking every day. Portion sizes are smaller when you go out to eat, and their food is much less sweet and rich. The Japanese consider soft drinks to be dessert. We could learn a lot from them, although most Americans would be unwilling to change their lifestyle.

well there are so many cars most people walk or ride bikes. They also take education more seriously then many people here becaues they understand the importance of where a good education can get you and their parents push them. It's just a cultural thing. i don'[t know about more artistic or better economically but i'm sure japan will catch up to obesity if it keeps increasing the number of fast food and cars.

Thats because the american society is becoming lazzier and lazzier day by day, this is very true, people dnt like to get up for the remote, i'v seen asian folks that are 60 and 70 male and female but they look 35, 40 im in the medical field i see um alot.

I thing japnies are good then Americans because they take good food then the Americans and they have no a tence scoicty like Amaricans and the Atmosphare of there is so Good then the Amarica that,s are the reason the Japanies are not jut good they are Better then the Amaricans!!!!!
