This has always been on my mind and I take seriously. I am curious and need an answer. I have never asked anybody about this because the subject matter is kind of dumb….

Do cows attack and do they bite? Their heads are so large and mouths so big, they scare me.

I like visiting farms and have visited friends who live on a farm in the south. One morning in the bathroom a cow stuck its head into the lower window and I freaked out and ran. I was scared silly. Then one time I escorted a group of kindergarteners on a field trip to a farm and the kids tried milking and I had to leave the barn, couldn't stand it. Now mind you I'm not afraid of the other farm animals, just cows and sometimes chickens which I love to eat.

My cows are very friendly....but that can be dangerous because of their size. It's not fun when they step on your foot!!
Also, never put your face in such a position that if the cow raises its' head quickly, or moves it to the side quickly, it will whack you.
But no, cows don't bite, and they are gentle creatures. They will defend their calves though, if they think you are getting too close to them!
Had this one steer who used to follow me home when i walked my dogs, and wait there at the gate...I'd have to bring him out a carrot- then he'd be happy...he'd eat it..I'd pet him, and he'd go about his business.

Cows don't attack and bite but they sure do make a good hamburger. I have never heard of anybody being afraid of chickens so you are the first. What a distinction. If I were you, I would just stay in the city and get my cow and chicken meat from the grocery store. It will be already dead and no chance of an attack. They are both dangerous and could kill you. Fortunately, you are aware of this.

Cows are gentle herbivores. They may kick you but I never knew anyone who was bitten by one. When I was a real little kid I used to go in the field at the end of my nans garden and feed grass to the cows and I was never scared. The scariest thing about cows is the awful grass breath! It could peel paint at forty paces! I hope this reassures you.

Cows don't attack or bite. Bulls attack. But cows are just big and dumb. Most are used to people and you or I could walk by a cow and she wouldn't care. I like to steer clear of the hind end because they could kick or hip you with their tail.
