If you're going to do your own math based on the answers you get here you can put me down as a size 9. But I think the true average is 7 1/2 or 8. I don't know why I think that, I may have read it somewhere or something. My feet stopped growing arond the age of 17 or so. But in my early 30's when I was a stay at home mom and I went barefoot a LOT, and doing that actually made my feet spread a whole 1/2 a size.

I'm seeing lots of answers saying 7.5-9. I am 11 and I have a shoe size 11.5 in women's and I am 5'1. Overall, your shoe size can matter from your height but unless height is specified no one can really determine an average shoe size for women.

my girlfriend wears a size 10 womens. I would say the average is around a 9. I would say at age 15 or 16 your shoe size will stop growing. I have a niece who is 5'1-5'2 and also wears a size 9 in womens.

Size 8 shoes seems to leave the shelves the fastest. Your feet stop growing, for girls, at about age 12 to 16.
