Can you play a cassette in a CD player?

If you are trying to play the DVD on a computer, you should be able to insert the DVD into the CD-ROM drive and play the DVD on a program such as windows media center, windows media player, or any other program you have. Hope this helps!

no, but I thought about it once myself, the real question is the difference between a CD-Rom and a DVD-rom and the answer is that a DVD uses a different type of laser that is more sensitive and able to read the disk. A DVD holds more data so the grooves are closer together.

here are some links on the technology involved: http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/dvd3.htm

and ignore anyone who acts like your questions are dumb, they are the ones that are too afraid to ask questions themselves and you'll be their boss one day :)
