Amen. When I see someone on the street, or in their cars talking on their cell phone, I can't help but wonder just what is so important that they can't wait until they're home to "talk on the phone". I'm tired of driving behind someone who is so engrossed in their conversation (or worse, freaks who are text messaging while they're driving), or having to hear someone use their cell phone in inappropriate places (movie theater, restaurant, public bathroom, etc.)
I wish there was some way we could return to the 80's! Ha.

I do know what you mean...my daughter lives 2000 miles away from me and I see her for 2 weeks out of the year and she's on the cell phone the majority of her visit with me! I'm putting a stop to it this year...My husband and I use prepaid cell phones...that helps us to stay focused on limiting our usage because of the hefty expense...there's just too many options for people to use cell phones now...
As far as your little sis...talk to her...even if you have to call her...tehee...tell her how you feel, tell her that she's breaking your heart by being on the phone all the darn time...because that's what it sounds like to me.
If she's a teenager...as is my daughter, have a little compassion and understanding as well..think back to when you were a teenager (I don't know how old you are but...) there's has got to be something that you did that annoyed others as well...it will all turn out in the end, have faith : )

Yeah your totally right. Sometimes with my friend theres no one on the other end, she just wants to have the phone on her ear. She says it makes her look cool. All i did was tell her that the radiation emmited from the phone is harmful to her ears and if you're on it more than once a day then ull get cancer or go deaf and sometimes you get pimples. LOL she totally believed me even though only half of it is true. I really hope they do make groups for those people in the future. Im always getting rejected by ppl on their phones it can really tick you off. I just kik em in da butt anyway...

In this time and era, about 90% of people use cell phones for business, pleasure or to just simply "talk". There really is nothing to do, but to try to ignore this temporary affair by your sister's usage of her cell. I would suggest that you do this before you do something that would further push her to this usage. There will come a time or incident that she will realize that others around her "are" more important than that device in her hand.
Cheers....Ok.

i definitely agree with you. too many ppl these days use cellular phones, most times to look important. there was a study no tv once where ppl addmitted that they pretend they are talking on the phone just to feel important in public. even ppl who are driving will tend to use their phones, which usually causes accidents. u should tell ur sister or maybe ur parents how much she is using the phone. instead of blabbing all day on the phone, she should spend time with the ppl around her that really matter.
hope i helped

i became born in 1953, so... interior the Seventies i became in my Nineteen Twenties, interior the Eighteen Eighties i became in my 1930s. i actually did no longer have a cellular telephone until i became over 50 years previous. for the time of my formative years and almost all of my adulthood, there became a pay telephone on almost each and every corner, actually, and enclosed glass cubicles, as I say, on corners everywhere. The cubicles had finished telephone books interior. each and every gas station had a pay telephone. At grocery shops, there could be banks of two or 3 pay telephones. in the previous i became born and (i think of) nonetheless whilst i became little or no, a close by call fee a nickel. via the time i became the right age to apply one (like, 8 years previous) a close by call fee a dime. maximum mum and dad made particular their youngsters constantly had a minimum of one dime on them in any respect cases, in case they mandatory to call abode from outdoors. in case you will possibly be able to desire to no longer locate somebody interior the yellow pages, you only call "411" for the guidance operator. Many hundreds of jobs disappeared whilst the long distance operators, guidance operators, payphone restoration & "substitute sequence" telephone workers have been no longer mandatory. We have been given via only nice with out cellular telephones. (additionally, the term "land line" did no longer exist, using fact it extremely is all there became - until you have been calling "deliver to shore" from a ship, i assume!)
