I wish to back up part of my data to an external Hard Disk of 30 GB. The external Hard Disk connects thro' an USB Port. How do I transfer data to the external Disk?

just plugin ur xternal hard disk to the usb port of the labtop.as soon as u plugin.if u r using xp,u ll c a driver installing itself, provided u r plugging it 4 the 1st time.this driver is installing itself to make u view the external hard disk in ur laptop.nw when the driver installation is complete it, an icon of the xternal hard disk will appear in ur "my computer".

Go [Start], [Programs], [Accessories], [System Tools], [Files and Settings Transfer Wizard]. Follow on-screen instructions. Good Luck!

connect it in you use port .then you can find the disk which you connect .then copy and paste it .copy from 40gb.then paste in the 30gb. then you back up part is doing.
