Over 2000 years and still man hasn't any definitive answers!

Everyone is speculating!

Organized religion was created to keep people in line.

It has been twisted and manipulated to fit governments and leaders agendas throughout the history of humankind!

Isn't better to be spiritual rather than religious?

Very very good question.

That's why I don't subscribe to any church or denomination.

I believe independently. and yes.....there is a chance it could be the grand conspiracy of all conspiracy's.

A way for the real people in power to keep the rest of the world in-line. Maybe this is why there are so many different
religions and the two party system....because they are trying to confuse everybody and keep them pre-occupied, so they can carry out their hidden agenda.

Just a theory though.....

We'll see what happens....btw....have you checked out the Polar Shift of 2012 ??

I was just thinking the same thing. *scratches head* Except people have been around and had religions for longer than 200 years - and have always been stupid. Stupidity runs in our genes.

It's amazing people don't realize that religion presents to them not a true god, but a god or gods _constructed by other people_ and passed down _through people_ over many centuries. It's sort of like, "Here, look, here are all the different gods and religions people have constructed. Now, here's the religion that you were randomly born into."

God is not a white man. God does not have a gender. Such a thing as hell cannot exist because I'm convinced this earth is already about as close to hell as a human being can get (and Americans are so sheltered that they have no clue).

I'll be more than happy when I die for things to simply make sense, for the contradictions and pointless hatred and pain to be explained away. There are so many things people don't know and that make no sense and have no reasons that there must be some way we can find them out eventually.

I totally agree with your last statement. I totally agree
that religion and government make strange bedfellows.
I totally agree that they should be seperate...not to the
extent that the Church is isolated like a monastary.

However, organized religion has its place. The key
is, that one must FIRST have a spiritual relationship with
God . Organized religion should be a by product
of that relationship.....a group of people who share
common beliefs and share an individual relationship
with God. Organized religion should be for the primary purpose of promoting fellowship among the
believers, joint worship and spreading the good news
to others. Anything beyond that destroys its purpose.

Oh, My, F*cking, God.

Kelly B... almost said somethings intelligent.

WOW, call the police.. she must be up to something! lol =D

however, Kelly B.. can i re-itterate something to you? STOP WITH THE 'GOVERNMENT-IS-BEHIND-THIS' FIRST RESPONSE TO *EVERYTHING* ...seriously...

Its not governments, its political organizations and political ideologies. Like god condemning abortion and gay rights and so forth. Do you really think homosexuality was written about in the orginal bible? No, for centuries marriages were made and couples were decided by either the king, or the couple's parents, or both. Homosexuality was non existant. Religious standards and medieval-type law didnt allow room for it to develop, for love only existed in Romeo and Juliet.

Wanna know why its there? Some religious popes and clerics, in some point in history, added it to the bible to accomplish a specific goal.. and many priests from then on have been preaching it relentlessly.

The idea behind God is wack also.
God should never stop giving you chances, 3 strikes your out is for baseball games, and 2nd chances are given to everyone... why would God give up on you if you were overly sinful, wouldnt that mean he would help you more? So where did this idea of Hell come from?

Why would God send you to hell? If you killed people, wouldnt he send you to heaven for support and reform? Why would God attempt to make you not commit a sin by scaring you with the fear of Satan and Hell? It makes no sense...

Religion is simply a way of making people feel safe and not dumbfounded by things around us that we cannot explain or find an answer for, like space. It gives peope solidarity. However, since its creation.. seeing an opportunity... people have tried to use it and expand upon it in order to fix some things wrong with humanity. like the morals religion teaches. however, ever since religion started to take a role in political issues, it has gone downhill..

A great quality of some people is the ability to control ones self and follow suggested morals and values without having to do it under some sort of pressure on them to follow it.

"Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives."

I agree spirituality is better than being "religious" by today's standards. Religion in and of itself is supposed to be a way for groups of certain faith to join together and help keep each other strong from the world's evil. But it has twisted into a schoolyard brawl in regard to who is right about which part. Isn't fighting "evil"?

in case your concepts is as open as you're saying, you will possibly evaluate the factors that the two aspects had, extremely than each and every of the adverse warning signs. i understand that it is amazingly ordinary to have faith that there's no longer something extra effective than what we see and understand, yet whilst all and sundry lived via that concept, think of how uneducated our international could be. you're saying that the people who chosen to have faith in faith have shackled minds, yet you are the single final your concepts to the possibility that they are spectacular. particular there are grasping people interior the international, some might say its organic and latest in all and sundry. so which you will locate examples of corruption everywhere. keep in mind that no longer basically is there corruption in faith, there is likewise corruption for the time of secular branches. How can people be expected to be as large and suited as God? it is not a probability, people sin certainly, so making use of their imperfections as a reason to instruct God isn't authentic is irrelevant. persons are loose to have faith what they want, and it constructive to have faith we are right here for a reason, and function some thing greater to seem forward to and take convenience in. we are able to by no ability have the solutions to those questions that are greater than us. possibly, the reason we can't locate an clean decrease answer is by technique of the fact we're not meant to. faith is a try of religion. enable people who chosen to apply their faith be chuffed, and in case you in my view might extremely no longer, bypass on. yet sometime you are going to realize you like some thing to hold directly to. desire I helped shed some gentle.

You got it sister! Organized religion presents a God of can't instead of a God who can. They focus on on death and the end of the world. Jesus came here to teach how to live, not how to die.
If you really believe what the Bible says... you really don't even need it. You know what's right and wrong. Organized religion just uses the Bible to condemn people who don't conform to their standards.
If you are not sure what to do... go right to the source... Not to the manual. God said all you gotta do is ask and he will give you the answer.
It's not a DaVinci code that takes a genius to figure out. Just love your brother as yourself and trust in God.

Of course! Being spiritual is far better than being religious. Most people...especially religious people...don't seem to even know the difference! *sm*

I agree.
"Organized religion" WAS created to keep people in line. Not only that, man wants us to believe that it is the ONLY assault on the stench of evil.

Pardon me for answering in the form of a question. . . . but it is pertinent and to the point of your question .

Don't you know many good religious people ? Perhaps it has something to do with where you live, but I kinda doubt that . Perhaps it's YOU that could use some quality time with some good people . Cause every church that I've ever attended, has had countless good people, who are not religious zealots. . . . . .in fact almost none of them are .

Yeah, Kelly. . . .. . almost NONE of them are !!!!

God Bless You !!!
