Thanks, but I will pass on being included in a "World Citizen" group.
I believe all nations are unto themselves. They should be good citizens of their respective country according to the laws, standards and social norms.

This is typical of the liberal/socialist education our children and young people are getting in schools today. Son, the very idea of being a "world citizen" is a socialist tenant. The idea of people being patriotic to their own country goes against the socialist model. They want to dilute the power of a strong and unified America. You are being taught that America is somehow stealing from the poorest people of the world and this is how they go about undermining your patriotism and pride in your country.
This project will result in a lot of pap about how we should be more earth conscious and give away more and more to the needy of the world. Of course, they well never discuss how those people got to be so needy. If they did you would soon discover that the main things they are lacking is liberty and capitalism. That is why people starve in countries rich in resources.
No, I am sorry my child, I have no interest in being a "world citizen" I am an American. I am one of the Sons of Liberty. I shall not rest until socialism is finally laid to rest and the whole world is free. Just like America.

The question is typical socialist claptrap mouthed in the schools. Reject the question out of hand. Look to the real thinkers who have had a positive impact on the world. I am thinking of Adenauer, Chancellor of West-Germany in aligning with the Western Powers against Stalinism, Charles de Gaulle's vision of a new Europe of fatherlands, Prime Minister Thatcher's vision for Europe, Ronald Reagan's successful defeat of communism without firing a shot, i.e. defence vice offence switching from a suicide pact of guns at each other's heads to each holding a shield---- this vision of Reagan's was the moral high ground. Reagan was the first important guy to really question M.A.D. (mutually assured destruction). M.A.D. was really a twisted idea of the 60s and 70s that was destroyed by Ronald Reagan. Reagan sent M.A.D. to the trashheap of history.

Simply by being as good a person as you can.
The world is so varied, there are so many different beliefs and ways of living that trying to choose among them is impossible.
But, there are common human values such as honesty, integrity, honor, veracity, kindness etc. which are admired by all cultures. Just go for them and you will do as well as you can.
