2. I, personally, take both into perspective. When I'm out for a night of fun, I don't care about personality, I just want to have fun. When I see a girl with a great personality (of course, easier to spot one that is good-looking), then that's the girl I wanna date and get in a relationship with. Many guys are like this

Dr. Drew answered this on loveline once. I'll butcher the explanation but basically men's brains are wired to have sexual impulse and arousal based solely on visual cues. Women can be aroused mentally from the sight of a hot guy but are not wired like men are. Hence women value the personality more, with less emphasis on the visual part. Plus guys are quicker to think about sex, usually they're thinking about sex even before getting to talk to you or know you. Again, more importance on visual factors then.

The first thing a person analyzes is the appearance. You have no information about him except how he acts and looks so we make assumptions. The same with guys. It's infuriating sometimes, but just how our minds work.
It goes back to our animal instincts in which we find mates by looking for the strongest and the best in order to engender offsprings that will survive.

We all judge people and thins on how they look when we first see them. Some people go not further than that.
Its not necessarily right or wrong. At one time it was probably part of our natural defenses - determining if someone was friend or foe.
And us women pt so much time into our looks, it is nice to get noticed!
Hopefully we all find friends and mates who appreciate who are besides how we look.

well... I can't change the way guys were made. I don't know why (maybe it happened when sin entered the world... I have no idea) but guys r made to look at looks. I do my best to look on the inside, instead of the outside, but sometimes I fail (after all, we r all
human ). This becomes easier the closer I get to allah

The female gender as a whole is actually at fault here. The way we dress, the way we act, and the way we respond to men is all geared toward stimulating something other than their mind. With so many women choosing to act this way, why would any man pay attention to a woman who chooses to stimulate him intellectually? I thank God that I found one because they are rare, and it is our (our gender's) own fault.

Girls do the same thing, if you see a hot guy are you like "O, I bet he's a wonderful person!!". NO YOUR LIKE "dang, he's fine!!!"
And would you really go out with some on that you didn't find attractive.
And guys do look at a girls personality, but like girls they look at the outside first.
In the end, we are just animals!
