I have never understood that. They are such a tiny minority of the world's population yet they are so powerful.

To be brutally honest, I didn't know that they were very powerful in world. The only thing I know about them is that history has been very unkind to them.

People say that all the time but I don't know of that many successful Jews. Like hollywood is owned by jews but thats about all I can think of. It seems like a stereotype that all Jews are smart and successful. I think they have become alot more secular than Christians. Which is weird considering them being followers of the ot.

Because they take care of each other and make sure that their family and the ones who profess their religious beliefs be successfull or can be helped to succeed. Throught history people have been jealous of this: that is why they have suffer so many adversities. The ones left are the strong ones.
Things they tend to do:
*They do not marry outside their religion.
*They keep their eating habits and lifestyle according to their Torah.
*They have been thru so many adversities, so they tend to be a little more money wise people.
...and no, I'm not Jew...I'm 100% catholic. But hey!, JC was a jew, right?

There are quite a bit more than 10-15 million. Perhaps you're just talking about Israel alone, and I might have misunderstood you.
The Jewish people are industrious, educated, and hard working. They are family and community oriented. They generally are successful at whatever they do, because they work real hard to accomplish things. Always have.
And spiritually, they are the Chosen People of God. Those countries ( and individuals ) who bless the Jews will in turn be blessed by God. The Lord said of Israel, "I will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you. "
I personally love Israel and all Jewish people. And I bless them with the highest blessings!

I believe that some of them are not really "Jews"; supposedly the Jews own the media, Hollywood, and a significant portion of the music industry

The TORAH. God gave Jews the torah and it tells them how to live a good and responsible life. With that, comes roles of power and leadership. Its what you people call the "old testament". MOT baby!

Hard work.
No one gives you anything in life. You always have to work for it.
Look in to the biography's of some of the most famous Jews in modern history and you will see what I mean.
