I really liked John Cena before the WWF applied what I call "packaging" to him ... when Cena was in OVW (the training federation for the WWF, for those that don't know), he was known as the Prototype. Once he was brought up to Smackdown, his current rapper image came out of a Hallowe'en costume he'd put together, and he was allowed to do freestyle rhymes. Now that he's the champion, all of his catchphrases are repetitive, as are the way he chains his moves together (spinning sit-out powerbomb, 5-knuckle shuffle, FU, STFU) ... I have tremendous respect for his ability, both as a rapper and a wrestler, and am impressed by his strength (an FU on the Big Show is no easy feat), but I just wish they'd let him be himself instead of presenting the fans with "Cena in a Box"

hell yeah. i know that on this forum, saying anything positive about cena is a sin punishable by death, but he can work a crowd as good as anyone other than DX and has decent wrestling abillity and incredible strength(as evidenced by his FUing vis and the big show, that take a lot of strength). He also is one of the few who gives WWE marketing oppportunities outside of wrestling

I like him. He has a world of potential and is definitely improving. He is not champ material yet. But he will be someday for sure.
