It's funny you should ask, i've noticed that the last few years, my tears fall for just about any reason. I had big tears only this morning, when my granddaughters school team won the county spelling bee, i had tears when my other granddaughter was presented as a candidate for home-coming queen. I don't know why it happens, just all of a sudden i have tears running down my face!

My oldest son who is gifted and was a straight A student up until this past quarter in school. He is also ADD but he is suffering from depression on top of everything. We just got his report card today in the mail. Straight C's! He just up and quit doing homework!
I have been taking him to a therapist and psychiatrist regularly since Christmas. I am so worried. But I also recognize that he is feeling sorry for himself and that he has to work at making himself better, too.
As far as not doing the homework...I have taken so many privileges away from him that he hasn't been able to earn any of them back in order for me to take them away again.
It is killing me to watch him make these bad choices. I want better for my son. This is a kid who is so intellligent he can be anything in the world that he wants to be and I am scared to death he'll make such terrible choices that he'll end up homeless on the street as an adult.
Yes, my tears have been flowing.

Remembering the time, when I was a Police Officer, attending an accident, and have a woman die in my arms. She wasn't even in either of the cars, but was walking along the footpath with her bicycle. There were no other serious injuries. That was the moment I decided that police work was not my thing. I cannot abide injustice. My eyes are damp now, as I type this.

When someone hurts a elderly person or a child. I read about this woman who was leaving her apt in new york going to church. Some guy on a bike was pretending to help her in the process he punched her in the face 3 times and took her purse which contained 33 dollars. She was 101 yrs old. I read it and cried like a baby.

Seeing and hearing about the senseless acts of war. Knowing that every minute
of every day a child is being abused and murdered. Mans inhumanity to man.
It says it all.

Love, a good book, a good movie, hurt/pain. Tears for me aren't always bad. For me they are a healing process. I feel a lot better, usually, after a good cry. :)
