help!! ipod resets everytime i disconnect from usb connector?

help someone please help after ithe apple comes out there is a sad ipod and its says the battery is low and i charged it for a full day

If it runs OK on usb but says battery low when off, you have either a battery or a battery-charger problem. The usb current is not high enough to operate it if it had some kind of short, so, as above... Battery or charger.
