Im using a router Edimax with 4 port only and i have also a switch but my problem i dont know what color coding i will use to connect my router and my switch at the same time becouse my my computer are 10 and my router are 4 port only what should i do and what is the configuration

depends for what reason u used the router
if u'r router is simply work as gateway or an edge router simply
connect u'r 10 computers to u'r switch using straightover cable
using color coding (white green-green-white orange-blue-orange-white blue-white brown-brown) in both the ends then connect u'r switch with one of the port of the router with same straight over cable with same color coding.
cross over cable we used generally when we connect two different switches
by straight over i mean to say
1 - 1
2 - 2
3 - 3
4 - 4
5 - 5
6 - 6

hm, Color coding?? what do you mean by that<
anyway, if the router and switch is fairly modern it will have auto sensing, so that you won't need to use a cross over cable, so simply take one of your router ports and conncet it to the switch, then you will have another 9 (or 10 if the switch has a dedicated incoming port), a switch is really a dumb hub, and not a true switch, ie you cannot program each individual port for Ip Address accept/deny, or time of day allowance etc.
so you will end up with 3 available ports on your router and either 9 or 10 on your switch.
The switch is transparent to DNS etc, so will not cause any problems

I don't understand your question but if you want to connect more then 4 computers using a 4 port router and a switch then you should just run a regular ethernet patch cable from one of the ports of the router into one of the ports of the switch

can you explain your question alittle bit more. what i think you are trying to say is i want to plug my switch into my router. if that is your question then usually you will plug the cable from the switch to the last port on the router and into the first port on the switch. hopes that helps.

like items pc to pc, router to router, switch to switch, soho router (router with a switch) to switch all use cross over cables
