'adopts' is the verb for adopting someone . to adopt, one brings into their family a child (any age) who will now not only share last name but by all laws will also share in any & all rights given to those children who are or would've been born to them by natural birthright. orphanage (or as you spell it-orphange) is the place or state of the orphan until such a time he/she is taken away from that either by age or adoption. get it? got it? good!
