I'm a 24 year old male and I cannot grow a full beard, or side burns. I get hair on my chin, and a poor excuse for a mustache, and patches of hair on my cheeks. I can't even connect my chin hair and mustache so a Go Tee(sp?) is out of the question. What gives? Is there a vitamin, supplement, or something.......anything out there i can take for this.

My wife and I share an account that's why I have a girly avatar lazy.

True i don't shave but about 2-3 times a month. I bottle of shaving cream lasts me 6 months.

I have already tried the shave everyday thing, it didn't seem to help and I stopped after a month of it.

I already grow more facial hair than my father, but he has a much fuller mustache, so I don't know how that will turn out either.

Thanks for the advice so far keep 'em coming

eat lots of meat and protein. you can take testosterone supplements if it really bothers you but thats expensive and potentially risky to your health. there are no OTC vitamins or natural herbs or whatever that will boost your body's testosterone (which is the ONLY way to develop a thicker, fuller beard) so don't waste your money.

Look at yourself and the males in your family, are you all light haired? Some times men can not grow till late 20's or even later. Some grow at 15 yrs. It depends on your cultural back ground. You are normal, well normal for you and your gentic family. I realize the fashion today is to grow some kind of facial hair, but you still have too wait awhile, On the flip side you surly must be able to shave easy, with such light growth.

I am not male but my husband couldn't grow a full beard until he was 25. He still has spots that don't grow. Give it some time, try shaving more and it will probably happen. If it bothers you you could consult a doctor about it.

Just curious .... why the female avitar?

Any native american in your background? I have a friend like that and he's in his 40's. Never been able to grow a beard because some areas just won't grow hair.

Try gelatin. Or prenatal pills. Maybe some different hormone balancing will help. For me progesterone stops facial hair growth. For you try the opposite. Perhaps like testosterone or somthing.
