A western view. I consider creativity to be the introduction of something new or novel that has not been seen or rarely seen before. Particularly innovation that is rare. In the artistic sense the creation or beauty that is not copied or cloned in an unrestricted domain. That is, a domain restricting innovation. Like applying gold leaf, the result will be precise and this is skill rather than creativity. The domain limits expression. Original creation of value. New use of some thing or method.
A quote from William Ellery Channing
"The wise man considers what he wants; the fool, what he abounds in."

Indians can not unleash the crative talent to it's full potential. This is because of religion. Westerners keep religion out of their normal life. Just have look around yourself. Laptop, mobile, TV, Fridge, A/C, Cars, Medical equipment .....Anything Indian?.

This seems like a really good question, but do you think you could be more specific? Do you mean the creativity process (where do we find inspiration) or do we value creativity, etc.
Its a real big topic :)
Great starting place though
Thanks
