I must say I am impressed--Flyer fans are still taking some pride in their team.

Home-- March 6, 6-1 over the Red Wings. Playing spoiler to maybe the best team in the NHL. Not bad for a 20-win team

Away-- March 1, 4-3 over Boston. First game as a Flyer for Biron, very symbolic win as it signals that Philadelphia will be ready for next year. Biron has since gone 4-2-1 with a 2.65 GAA and a .922 SV%.

I say the road game is their biggest win overall, because it's going help the Flyers carry some momentum into 2007-08.

I am not sure what their greatest victory is this season and if you asked the players they probably would not know or care either with the season they have had. To me the greatest thing that gas happened to them is getting Marty Biron to solidify their goaltending, it only cost them a second round pick and they got a first rounder for Forsberg from Nashville. The defensman they got in the Forsberg trade is supposed to be one of the top if not the top Defensive prospect in the minors, he had had some injury problems , but still that is a victory also. I am not sure how Upshall will work out he is fast but dies not seem to finish so well. Braydon Colburn for Zhitnik was a great trade also. They are building the right way. Changing Bobby Clarke was also a great move getting new blood in at GM is huge and Holmgren seems to understand the new NHL and has a plan. They will also have the number one pick in the draft which is big even though there is know Crosby or Ovechekin this years draft there are a couple of top centers one who is Canadian and one who is European to choose from. They will also have a lot of room under the salary cap to spend. They can turn this around fast.

Technically, there was no Flyers season,
only a Phantoms team that was forced to play in the NHL
The p***-poor attempt to save money by management and then reward their fans with what was the worst Flyers season in 40 years, was at best an embarrassment to everyone
Next year, I'll just buy Phantoms tickets and see the same caliber of hockey for 1/4th the price

I thought their win over the Red Wings was impressive.

Everyone is harassing you (including myself in other questions you asked) but I think it's great that you are not a fairweather fan.

It takes true loyalty to stand by your team even when they are having an absolutely dreadful season.

That is a true fan. Teams need a lot more fans like that.

Toronto and Philadephia are two of the most hated teams but they have the most loyal fans of any NHL team I have ever seen.

My hat is off to all of you.

I hope I do my team as proud if they ever have that bad of a season.

I definately have to say the one over Detroit because I won the bet with my teamate. Other than that, the season sweep of Atlanta was one of the few highlights this year.
