Just check who's logged the most major penalities this season. It's the Anaheim Ducks by far. No other team has come close.

I think every team has an element that makes them tough (goaltending, goal scorers, experience, etc.) . Toughest in my mind is a tie between Sharks, Stars, and Ducks. (Not a fan of the East, they don't exist to me since the NHL schedule pretty much puts it that way for us Westerners)

Sharks because when they play to their potential they can put in goal after goal with all their firepower.....problem is, they usually don't play up to their ability.

Stars are tough because they're always a defense first team with an offensive upside. Granted the fact that they can maintain the lowest GA in a season where half their regulars are out says loads about how deep tough they are. Unfortunately the goals are still hard to come by.

Ducks are tough because they are a well balanced team. Great defensemen, solid goaltending, and a good mix of youth and veteran forwards that get the job done. The only problem is that theyve collapsed when losing a few players earlier this season so it's unclear how well they would handle long term injuries.

Also, just because the Ducks have the most majors doesn't mean they're tough, just means they have a few meatheads (Parros and O'Brien) getting into too many scraps......it makes me miss our meatheads (Barnaby and Ott), haha.

that's all about Gerber because it replaced into in Carolina. they're a touch small at the front line yet that looks superb in the present NHL equipment. The backline is sturdy and in spite of the undeniable fact that i'm a Bruins fan, you're correct that Redden replaced into the more beneficial useful decision. Chara is kinda basically freaky, he performs vast yet no longer always fantastically intelligent. If I had to assert for this year, i'd %. Calgary inspite of the actuality that. they're deep and very proficient.

The Detroit Red Wings were great once again this year, and it's never an easy game when you have to play in hockeytown. With Hasek having another great year even at his age. They have to be the toughest team of the year.

i would have to say the Nashville Predators. They're my favorite team. i was disappointed when they traded Upshall, Parent, and a draft pick for Forsberg, but im sure Forsberg will bring a veteran effect in the playoffs. Upshall is playing some great hockey in Philadelphia though :)

seeing how my favorite hockey team ever is the Red wings I will have to say that. I have just finally gotten over Yzerman retiring and Shanahan leaving. I really love Brendan Shanahan, but now that he is no longer a red wing I had to switched to Niklas Lidstrom.

I say Ottawa. No other team in the league can cream teams and then beat up all of their players (including the goalie!)

McGratton, Neil, Emery = fighters that never go down

Neil = leads the league in hits

Volchenkov = leads the league in blocked shots and throws damn heavy bodychecks

Phillips, Fisher = not afraid to drop the gloves once in a while

Schaefer, Alfredsson = not afraid to rough it up

Danny Bois = went after Donald Brashear on his first ever NHL shift (priceless)

Philly no doubt!! We got Gautchier, Hatcher, Eager, Fedoruk, Richards can drop the gloves
Eager also leads the league in penalty minutes and has 13 major penalties, 3 misconducts, and 2 game misconducts

hmm there are a lot of tough teams, one team that comes to mind first would have to be the flames, and heres why: they are good, very fast, SUPER physical, great goaltending, and never quit. plus it is hard to win out in calgary
