Take some ibuprofen and do what the other person suggested gargling salt water is a good idea or some chicken broth tastes even better and has plenty of salt. You should get in to the doctor and get a throat culture done to check for strep throat too.

50/50 water & peroxide. Gargle a few times a day. It works like a miracle for me. You can't really taste it. It's not as bad as salt water rinses. Just picture treating a wound with it....does the same for your throat. Fights the infection off. It will not hurt you. Promise

if u have fever, fatigue and difficulty eating u may have an infection (i.e strep). u should get a doctor to look at it. for time being, gargling w/ salt water can help or u can try lozanges (better than cough drops). drink plenty of water and avoid sugary drinks/carbonated beverages.

Gargling with salt water and warm beverages can definitely help. I also find that breathing in steam can help, too -- either by taking a hot shower, running a sinkful and breathing in the vapors, or just perching your nose and mouth over a cup of hot tea.

Feel better!

try gargling with salt and water as well as an antiseptic mouthwash. drink hot tea with lemon and please don't hesitate to call the doctor if it's not any better by Monday because it could be something bacterial.
