because he didn't seem to care about our children at all. Children should come first to BOTH parents and he acted as if I somehow MADE him have children with me. I didn't; he wanted them each time I found I was pregnant and I would have aborted them if I had known he would eventually start treating us all like we were a burden without any redeeming qualities. I'm really glad I did too because after the divorce, he just got worse. Then I met a man who loved me AND my children. No one should stay in a marriage that makes them feel miserable and guilty. Especially when there's children. If you don't love your kids, give them to someone who will... like your spouse.

He decided his daughter was less important than his World of Warcraft game and literally pushed her (just over a year old) aside and said, "Can't you watch her? I'm on my game..." and went back on his headset. And he had the nerve to tell me I spent all my time and affection on her and didn't give him enough, so he called my cell while I was on my planning period between teaching class and threatened to burn all my clothes if I didn't have sex with him that night. Not to mention he wracked up a huge debt and drained my bank acct because he quit his job when I was about 1 month before having the baby and my sick days ran out. Good enough reasons? I think so.

He was an adulterer, a criminal, an abuser (not me someone else). He killed a kitten right in front of my daughter and I for nothing 0_0. I took him back 3 times then he joined a scary religious cult and someone representing the state I live in finally came to me and said that if I didn't get him out of the house they would take my daughter. I told him to go, then was able later to get a divorce.

Ok, aside from the affair, he spent money like water and when the bills backed up he would run to his rich parents and they would take care of our bills, it was sickening from a 28 year old man.

Because he had no interest in helping me raise our daughter, he had no interest in either my life or hers. He was verbally and emotionally abusive to the both of us...and we shouldn't have gotten married in the first place.
