i have never seen india ink with a toxic label and ive never heard of anyone getting sick from it. i've even seen people give themselves real tattoos (dipping a needle in the ink) with india ink with no ill effects.

however, i dont know that you can actually get the temporary tattoo effect you are looking for with india ink because (if you got what i am thinking of [ basically a little bottle of ink]) it is totally liquid and required drying time. it would be like putting water on your skin, it would drip off. I suggest going to some kind of craft store and buying a DIY henna kit. Henna comes out like puffy paint and will actually adhere to the skin rather than drip off

hope i was helpful :) good luck

True India ink is organic, so not toxic, but keep in mind that people can be allergic to anything. Many people use it for scratch tatoos which makes you more succeptible to an allergic reaction because you are opening up your body to the ink.

do u mean henna? cuz i know thats what they use for temporary tattoos in India. henna itself is a herb and a natural dye. it can be used on hair, skin, clothing. it isn't toxic. i'm one of those people that loves using natural and organic stuff so i use it on my hair and it leaves it incredibly healthy looking with a nice redish tone to it. i have also used it on my skin...it last about 1-2 weeks. if your not using henna but some other dye then it might be toxic. but i would suggest henna.

but putting too much ink on your skin is no goof. and using too much of everything is noo good eiter. i guess it's okay if you only do it once in a while.
