What is the deal with having a mole underneath one of your eyes?

I have a mole underneath my left eye. I have seen movies, cartoons, things on tv where they portrayed people with this beauty mark as something symbolic. I don't know how to explain it, I remember people on tv who had these marks are either portrayed as sexy or something. What is symbolize of having a mole underneath your eye?

yeah they're considered beauty marks. you're born with them. unfortunately i have one but it is on the side of my forehead. not very sexy! at least it isn't on the tip of my nose. lol
