Well i'm not a religious person . I believe more in science and that stuff so i was wondering...
I kind of think that relgion in some ways limits what humans think they can do.

Like the other day for example i saw a video posted on youtube by jeezus something ... anyway he said that he didn't believe that it was posible for there to be life on other planets - his reasoning was (sorry for those religions , Funny as hell ) anyway back to topc ,

he said that it would have been impossible for jesus to go to planet to planet , galaxy to galaxy and so on ... to preach to these intelligent life.

Well that's one example , what do you guys think ? any coments , please be mature. tq

Yes, I agree in some ways religion limits what a person thinks he can do, but so does the science approach. Example: A man is sick and a Christian prays for them. Also, a Doctor uses medicine on him. At the same time, the sick is meditating and using his own mind and energy to heal himself. When the person becomes better, who healed him? Well, it was either God, Science, or the mans own will. The most limiting explanation is God and Science. Those explanations limits what a man can do, as if he had to rely on outer sources to heal him. Or maybe together they all 3 healed him? Just a thought.

I am not a religious by any means . As a matter of fact I personally don't believe in organized religion . I do how ever believe in God and I'm a very spiritual person . I have a good relationship with God and Pray and Meditate to become closer to my spirit . This is a matter of choice , we each have different ideas of what is true . My idea of a higher power is the spirit within . { God is in my heart } he is always with me .

All things are possible for God. We are like a fly on a painting. We see just what is right in front of us. We aren't able to see the overall picture. So in reality we don't know what else may be out there. When we get to heaven we'll have to take our questions to the source.

I think the guy you are referring to is making baseless statements. The Bible is pretty silent about anything not directly related to the salvation of humanity.

As far as religion limiting thought, I totally disagree. Close study of the Bible as it relates to humanity opens the eyes and ears of ones inclined to hear. Closed minds lead to the wars and hatred that permeate throughout the world today.

False religions, to include many claiming to be Christian based, use religion to propagate their personal, heinous agendas.

The problem is that everyone feels perfectly cualified about explaining things about the bible, trusting that the Holy Spirit will guide them to all truth.

But can I say to you that I will explain all economics to you just because I inherited a lot of money?

i think religeon and a belief in a higher power can inspire imagination and expand the scope of scientific discovery ... its a false idea that religeon limits ... logical thinking is much more limiting ...
