She shows no grattitude for the things we do for her, which is everything because she has no car and doesn't pay for anything. Ex: I got her a job because she is pregnant and needs money and she just stopped going to work and got fired. When I discussed the behavior with my husband he lashed out saying " He wouldn't tolerate me insulting his sister" She upsets me because she does nothing to help me around the house while I manage to do and take her everywhere. I would like to know if I am wrong about the way I feel because at this time we have been working on our relationship and this is just one more thing to deal with. Please give your honest opinion.

If yall are already experiencing problems in your marriage I would think the sister would want to be supportive and make things easier instead of futher complicating matters by acting selfish and immature. If I'm being honest, sounds like she is a spoiled lazy bi@!ch!!!! I would kick her to the curb and if the husband isn't amenable to the situation, you should rethink the marriage because as a husband he should realize his wife comes first. His sister should know this too.

Your husband sides with his sister too much and irrationally. Your SIL is ungrateful. Find support from you other family members eg your mom, and siblings to kick her out of your house. Unless she's out of your house, your marriage will go downhill which is too bad and a big price to pay for being kind.

Tell him you know he loves her and wants to help her, but she has to want to do whats right in order to help herself. Then tell him you know of a good shelter home for women, she isnt changing and he has a choice to make, you or his sister. If he gets mad, then say ok,no problem, pack your stuff and leave.Let him think about it and get back to you.
