Answering this question for my mother:
Well I am from Peterborough and The Kawarthas so I know a lot about them. Adam Gontier and Brad Walst were both born in Peterborough but they lived in Norwood for their childhood/teenage years. Neil, lived and attended school in Peterborough. They started their first band called "Groundswell" in the early 90's but then later split up when the other vocalist in Groundswell, Trevor McNevan, left the band (Big Mistake). So... The Three of them left started "Three Days Grace", saw absolutely no oppurtunity for music in Peterborough (Which is still pretty true to this day) and moved to Toronto. They recorded a demo CD with "Now Or Never", "Born like this" and "Drown" and eventually, got a label with ZOMBA out of it. They recorded thier first sefl titles album with the legendary "GAVIN BROWN" and thier hit "I hate everything about you" hit the top of the charts. About 3 months after the album was released, BARRY STOCK was added to the band to free up vocals for ADAM. I can't tell you much about Barry, other than the fact that he is by far the nicest person in the band. I have had the pleasure to hang out with them several times.
The rest of thier career can be found on the internet.
Oh and check out my band:

a website, or their own authorized website is not a good source? I know that when I was in school (an accredited university) they allowed websites in their bibliographies. Unless of course they want you to also site a book in the bibliography too.

lol very thrilling. i have oftentimes formerly compared those 2 bands. a pair years in the past, i'd've chosen Breaking Benjamin. I even said them stay with 3 Days Grace and nonetheless favourite them. Now, I definitely could verify on 3 Days Grace. Dunno why. i wager i'd are transforming into a touch drained of BB (nonetheless love 'em even if.)

Well, Miss Karen P, does the P stand for Procrastinator? Please just do the homework yourself. Get off the computer and do your own work, or just use the computer for research only!!! How are you ever going to learn anything or pass a test if you don't do things for yourself?
