Maybe I should take the time to explain to all of you why I only picked those five (5) particular countries as opposed to France, Italy or Australia like some of you have mentioned in your awesome answers.
Well, I was born in Western Switzerland (Geneva) from a German mother but I grew up in Eastern Canada (Montreal QC). As a young adult, I moved to Southern England (London, Bournemouth in Dorset & Southampton in Hampshire) for thirteen long years and eventually left the U.K. to join my Bahamian-American lover on the American East Coast (Fort Lauderdale in South Florida) and then more recently we relocated together to the Midwest (Houston in East Texas).
Those were the primary reasons I mentioned those countries and not others you might find more appealing, exciting or interesting to visit or live in.
Thank you all so much for your splendid replies and for taking the time and making the effort to participate in my poll!!!

Eastern Canada
I was about to choose Germany because it's in Europe (and thus closest to my homeland), but I then realized I don't speak German
So, from the rest Eastern Canada sounds best - Canada sounds good primarily because of its very mild involvement into world's "politics"

United States. I was in the service for years I have seen a lot of places but I have and always will prefer the United States. We have many places that are good, bad, and all the in between, same as those others you have listed. To me this is home. I can't imagine calling anywhere else home.

I used to live in London England and I truly fell in love with England. If my situation permitted I would love to move to southern England, perhaps somewhere around Folkstone. It is truly beautiful country, close to contenential Europe, and I found the English people very warm people.

I'd stay right here in the USA, but not on the east coast or west coast if I couldn't stay here in the south I'd go to the Midwest and I've lived in all 4.

Currently, Switzerland offers the best quality of life in all the world. I would pick Switzerland from the choices. But personally, my own choice would either be Provence or Tuscany. Reason? Romantic.

Western Switzerland. I heard they have good skiing and chocolate there, and those are the only two true requirements for me to have a happy life!

Definately Canada. They are not as uptight as the rest of the world. Life is more laid back.
