For an adult leo, it should be easy to tell, if yours is under 6 months, good luck!

More mature males will have a "bulge" beneath the vent and a row of pores above it. See photos in link: http://www.reptilecare.com/leopardgender.htm

Well, if you already know for sure it's a male gecko, then definitely don't get another male.
It's also not really a good idea to get a baby gecko with a large one, you want them to be generally around the same age and size, or else the smaller won't get the proper food and it might get picked on.
But with a male gecko, you can put a female gecko, they will mate and lay eggs, but the eggs really only survive if you take them out and carefully incubate them. So if you don't want the babies, then don't take them out of the hide box to incubate them.

You can't tell the sex of a gecko at a very young age, but once they are old enough, you will see pre-anal pores in a V shape for a male and you can't really see that for a girl.
The easiest way to know would be to find a breeder, and purchase a leopard gecko from them. Because chances are, they incubate them at a temperature to get known-males or females. Find someone that controls the sex of their geckos. The sex depends on the temperature during the incubation process.

From what I've read you cant really tell the sex of a leo gecko without having a pro herp vet probe and get a definite answer.

Some might say male leo's are larger and have a broader head then a female. Another way is two males will fight and be territorial, females wont. If you dont want egg's then your probably stuck with the one male :/
