Why would we hate a fellow American? I don't know you well enough to make a judgement call like that. Even those who offend me on a visceral level, I don't hate; I may vehemently dislike them, but I don't hate them. Now, if you burned the flag of the United States of America, called John Wayne a bad name, impuned the honor of the U.S. military, and said that Communism was the way to go, I might take personal offense. But then, I'd come to my senses and realize how unworthy of intellectual attention you were worth.

i believe that "we" is too including a time period to describe Al Gore for all republicans. i do not hate or dislike the guy or what he has for sure contributed and probable enlighten us on his positions. even if, i imagine that he should be between the great applicants for the democratic social gathering today, regardless of his fairly "controversial" perspectives and comments he has made in the previous.
