cuz the american idol producers have the right to keep anyone they want in the competition if they think it will be good t.v. it is totally bogus. no one is voting for him. except for that stupid little girl that was crying her eyes out last week. she was so annoying they showed her every 5 seconds because they couldn't find anyone else that likes him.

I think it's because the teeny-bopper-age group, say 12-16, are voting over and over and over again, just based on his cuteness. He is a cute young kid. But he has no power to his voice and is certainly not the caliber of singing voice like Doolittle and Lakisha -- or as talented as Chris or Blake. To see Brandon get voted off and Sanjaya stay, well that just is WRONG. Brandon's voice was so much better. It's heart-breaking that bad ones stay on. Stephanie got voted off this week and she was SO much better than the heavy guy with the curly hair, Phil Stacy, Sanjaya...and for Chris to be in the bottom two was just crazy. His voice is beautiful.

Sorry to tell you but it's not just 12 yr olds, gays, and Indians voting for Sanjaya. He really can sing...he needs to choose better songs. SANJAYA IS AWESOME!

tel you what i don't like him in any respect he do not even belong in the accurate 24 i always ask your self why the hell is he nevertheless doing right here he's not sturdy searching his hair sucks he vocal huh do not even wanna communicate about it i imagine he's right here because there is any such vast volume of ppl vote casting for him sympathetically at the same time as he cried on nationwide television at the same time as his sister isn't between the finest 24 guy he sucks if he's in the top5 then i imagine american truly don't know a thanks to vote unfavourable issue in case you were given voted out lke sundance and brandon

because he's cute, which means that he has all the 12 year old girls voting for him, and he's Indian, which you don't usually see on Amer. Idol, so he more than likely has the Indian population voting for him too. It's certainly not because he deserves to be there, because he should have gone home the first night of the top 24.

Why is everyone assuming that sanjaya is gay?
I mean, you shouldn't make assumptions about another person's homosexuality.
He's just a sweet kid.
He isn't the best singer, but i guess people like him.

The only reason I can think of is that he is this season's votefortheworst contestant. I think Howard Stern is now backing up that whole idea.
For those of you who vote for him for other reasons, I just don't get it:
He's ugly (I don't know HOW people can say he's good looking)
He can't sing no matter what genre
He seems very quirky in the worst ways possible.
