A nurse feeling burnt out at 22 - Florence Nightangle would have fainted hearing that.Just remember that nursing is the most noble proffession & I'm sure that this feeling is just a passing phase.Take a short break ( pl. don't quit) & get back to the fray. I'm sure you'll feel rejuvenated!

You should challenge yourself to do better. Try working your way up to a management position. Or you could try an on call nursing agency. They call you and offer various shifts at various places in the area that are short staffed. You choose how many hours you want to work and you make really good cash. Check the classifieds in your local newspapers I'm sure there's at least 10 different help wanted ads for nurses all w/ great pay. You have a lot of job opportunities. You're only 22 you have so much time to excel and work your way up to a well earned job in this field. Don't give up! My mom has been a nurse for 20 years! She makes around $25.00 an hour. The great thing about this field is that if you are feeling burned out you can always go somewhere else, this world will always need nurses!

Try to get more sleep and pace yourself at work, sometimes you have to rush, but if it's not an emergency don't frazzle yourself. Make sure you get proper nutrition and drink lots of water through out the day. Go to sleep now instead of hanging out on answers.
