Get a Haynes Repair Manual at the local Auto Zone or auto parts store in your area. It will troubleshoot and show you how to fix your vehicle. Also on the Auto Zone site has a section for vehicle maintenance.

If you had spent $20 on the book, you would now be at some bar, chasing them fine women as they drool over your firebird. lol Here is the URL for the site repair guide. Bookmark it.

Now if it has now fuel pressure then you need a new fuel pump. On my 1998 Chrysler van, mine just stopped without any warning. But guess where. At the parts place. Was that a miracle or what? lol Anyway, with the book it will diagnose and get your engine working. Never heard of a crank fuse. Hmmm, whatever you drinking I want a double.

it your VATS sytem stopping the fuel, as the car thinks it is being stolen. What you need to do is this.. using a didital volt meter set to ohms, check what the value of your old key pill is(pill is that funny black thing on shaft of key) place the negative probe on one side and positive on the other side. doing this will give you the resistence value of that pill. now either go to dealer and get a new key made with that value in the new key for around $40, or go to radio shack/the source and buy a pack of resisters($3) and find the correct one you need and disable your vats system forever!!! at your column you will find 2 small gauge black wires(these are your vats wires) cut em and put the resistor across the 2 wires that are away from the column.

They had passkey system (the chip in the key) wont crank if that is not seen in the ign.seen alot of broken wires in the steering column.. and if that is the case needs a new lock cyl..they break way too short to repain most of the time..and not worth getting stranded
