My friend won't stop calling!!?

My friend is great and everything but she calls way to much. I do not know how to tell her to quit calling me nicely. I keep coming up with excuses like I have homework or I have to clean house but she always calls back and its obvious that I couldn't have taken that long. HELP!!

oh my goodness, do we have the same friend or what? well i will tell u this..my friend did the same thing 2 me and i kept asking her politely 2 stop calling,cuz i hate 2 talk on the phone. she didnt listen 2 me, and ill tell ya...i felt like i was being stalked. anyway i just plain stopped answering her calls completely + ignore her completely. im down 2 about 3-4 calls a week from her. i consider that 2 b good cuz she used 2 call 50x a day. i may have lost a good friend but i have my sanity back. so just try ignoring and dont answer any more calls. good luck.

Tell your friend that your mother or another family member needs to use the phone and that you'll a) call them back later or b) catch up with them tomorrow. If they don't get the hint, then you need to spell it out for them.

Phones can be turned off, or connected to answering machines, which are used to screen incoming calls.
You have to remember that just because you own a phone does not mean you have to jump and answer it every time it rings. Especially if you're busy with important things such as studying.

Jus tell your family to make up excuses like your in the shower or taking a piss

Maybe don't answer every time she calls? Maybe that will give her a little hint?
