Get wax paper from the kitchen, an put some salt on the wax paper turn ur iron on an just keep rolling on the salt it will get your iron clean an keep it clean

I know rowenta sells a cleaning kit for your soleplate.
it has a tube of cleaner and 2 cloths.
I got mine at Kohls.

mean green does the trick just remember to rinse it after you clean it off
