put it in the dishwasher.. or even get one of the fancy hat racks. but the best way with or with out the rack is the dishwasher and just use regular non bleach dishwasher soap.. works best too if you dont put dirty dishes in with it.

I'm not sure where you live, but in Toronto you can buy a white plastic form its in the shape of a ball cap you put the cap into the form which hold the caps shape and then you put in the dishwasher with a little bit of dish soap. I've cleaned many ball caps and this works great with all colors of caps. Good luck

The plastic washing frames are great if the quality of the cap is good. Many of the lower cost hats have a cardboard bill that will not withstand being drenched in water.

Wall Mart has the plastic hats for the dish washer.
You just throw your hat in the dishwasher and wash like normal
and you hang it out to dry if you wish.

Hand wash it and put it on top of something that can help it not loose its shape to dry.

THEY HAVE PLASTIC FRAMES FOR CAPS PROBABLY AT "BED,BATH ,AND BEYOND.............OR FIND A PLASTIC BOWLAND PUT CAP ON TO DRY
