When I go out with friends or large family outtings I love when it takes some time to get our stuff, we get to enjoy eachother, usually after we don't leave as soon as we're done eating, we don't rush, there's no reason to.

We like to have an average amount of time when we go out. Usually we have somewhere else to go afterwards. Not more than 45 minutes from the time we walk in to the time we walk out. It's usually later because we're trying to track down our server for the check or a to-go box. We don't really care when the server drops off the check, earlier the better, because we know we don't want coffee or dessert. But that server better keep coming back and refills or they get a lower tip for ignoring us.

And I'm OK with saying that since we've both worked in restaurants.

We love dining out. It is entertainment and socializing. We take our time and enjoy every minute of it. Why pay to eat out if you don't enjoy it. Remember there is a difference between dining and eating. Some people are on a time clock so they have to hurry but not me.

I prefer to go out and take my time and just enjoy it. I don't like to rush at all and it really bugs me when the waitress put the ticket on the table before your even done eating..I'll take off on the tip for that. We go our for fun and enjoyment and a break for our lives...not to go graze like cows and then be shot.

Dining out should take AT LEAST 3 times longer than eating in...

That does not include the time that you are waiting for your food!

Except for my brother in law -- he takes at least 2 hours just sitting around the table at home!
