You can use drano gel.
They also sell little balls that you can put in there to get rid of any odors.. they sell them in the dish soap section.

There is a foam product in the cleaner section just for disposers, or you can run the water hot pour dish soap and put an old wash cloth in and use your hand to wash it out, oh... be sure not to turn it on while doing this... just kidding but some of the ?s on here make me wonder....do you know what I mean?

I'm assuming a product like Drain-O would be safe for it, but don't quote me on that. I also heard once that if you put orange or lemon peels in the garbage disposal, that it gets rid of odors.

Just pour some bleach down the drain and some hot water and run it. Or you can pour vinegar to get rid of the scum and turn it on. Rinse it and then put a few lemon slices and run it. That usually does it for mine.

I use lemon juice and ice. The ice cubes clean and sharpen the blades and the lemon juice freshens it. I've never had an odor problem with this method.

Get your self a can of Coca Cola, pour half in, let sit for half an hour ,then pour in rest and let sit for half an hour.
