Windows only:
You must first make a boot disk.I am unable to tell you how because you didnt list the type of operating system you have.Do a web search on making a boot disk for your OS then restart you pc with the disk loaded.Dos will prompt you from there, asking you if you want to format.MAKE SURE you have the FULL version installation disk of your OS or you'll have problems and be stuck. Then just follow the instructions.I learned how to format mine by buying a book or doing a simple web search.
Also depending on what version of Windows you have, you may have a feature called system restore which can undo many pc changes and restore your pc to an earlier time.

Firstly you have to find an installation CD, like Windows XP or Windows Vista. Afterwards put the installation CD in (you have to start your computer first to enable the CD drive to move). Then restart the computer. To a certain extent, the screen will show 'Push any key to boot from CD' and you have to click on any key, either Enter or Spacebar, it doesn't matter. Then wait for the installation files to be copied onto your computer. It does this automatically, so don't worry. Then it will display the drives where you can install your OS. Usually people do it on C drive. But firstly you have to Delete the C drive to erase whatever OS that have been on the C drive. Then you have to create it back. All of this can be done by following the instruction on the screen. Then follow the instruction to install the OS on the C drive. For your information, OS means Operating System, like Windows Xp.
