If i'm getting annoyed because ive been there for so long, yeah i share my pain with someone else. Together we bond over how horrible the service is lol.
Or it's the other way around
If they have something that looks nice that they are purchasing i feel the need to complement their taste.

Oh hell....I'll talk to anyone anywhere anytime. My kids get so embarrassed....my mother has always told me I never had a problem making new friends....I can just strike up a conversation at the drop of a hat...well I don't really wear a hat...thats just a silly expression. Unless you were wearing a hat at the time and you dropped it, then I might be inclined to pick up the hat and ask if it were yours....that would then lead us to talking about the weather....its cold and we're supposed to get some snow overnight....which tomorrow is St. Patricks Day and I'm just thrilled about that....because that means two days until my birthday....I'm going to be 35 again LOL...yeah I know....impossible! I hear ya, I really do....but I decided three years ago, well almost three...that I wasn't going to get any older after 35...I was just going to stay 35 again and again and again....because it was a really good year for me, unlike when I was 33...that was really awful.....
But you probably don't want to hear about that.....
Me? Nawww....I just keep to myself mostly ;)

I keep to myself but people must think I have a friendly face because they always start a conversation and I usually see no reason not to talk back.

I've learned the hard way not to openly try to start conversations. Today, you can't be sure. I do little tests to see if who ever is around will start a conversation. Once the water is flowing, I don't mind going with the flow but I don't start anything any more.

I'll start a conversation a lot of times if it's a slow line and the person seems pleasant.

I keep to myself unless they start conversation. I'll at least be polite to them.

Usually I keep to myself because I don't want to annoy anyone but if they talk to me then I get really chatty and it helps make the day better. :p
