Well if your worried about male pattern baldness, it is not your mother's father you should be looking at, it is her maternal grandfather, that is wear the gene comes from. And if her grandfather was not bald you are probably only facing hairless due to environmental and stress factors, If u do have dry skin and dandruff, I would highly recommend purchasing scalp treatments because dry flaky skin does have a tendency to itch, the more u scratch the more hair will fall out do to the damage to your scalp... head and shoulders makes a great leave in scalp treatment :) Good luck Hun

A significant portion of the medical community no longer believes heredity has much to do with hair loss. Your body's level of DHT production (which is hereditary to some extent) is the main culprit. Case in point, it's hormonal. Either your body produces a lot of testosterone or you are genetically predisposed to being very sensitive to the effects of DHT. If you also have a lot of body hair or thick body hair it is definitely DHT levels. It may also be from stress, a reaction to Sulfactants (common inside many of the cheaper soaps/shampoos/conditioners), or a poor diet high in transitive fats. It's not uncommon to develop hair loss as early as 17, I sure did. If you don't want to see it progress than you need to do something about it now, because once the follicles have shrunken and closed for over 2 years or so it will be forever impossible to bring that hair back. Consider Finasteride or Propecia, both of which come in generic versions which are available cheaper from international pharmacies (order online). Consuming lots of soy also helps somewhat, it is a testosterone atagonist to some degree. Be aware that balding is essentially an effect of testosterone, and as such any means to combat it will involve hormonal altercation which runs the (small but very real) risk of diminished sexual drive and/or function. Topical Minixoidil (Rogaine) will help hair follicles open up and discourage shrinking but it alone is not enough to reverse balding, it will only slow it or enhance the effects of Finasteride/Propecia.

All this about the mother's father, mother's grandfather, etc. is BS. Two of my dad's uncles (they are brothers) are completely different in their hairlines. One is completely bald and the other has a full head of very thick hair. They had the same mother, father and grandparents, but one ended up having no hair and the other has a head full. And it's not because of a significant age difference, either; they're only one year apart.

You could be stressed, but if baldness runs on either side of your family, it could just be that your hair is starting to thin.

I started going gray at your age, so don't worry too much about it. We all age differently.

if your stressed out it could be alopesha i cant spell it but that's how you say it i lost a lost of hair and went to the Dr's was told hair has a certain life span and falls out if you had a lot of new hair at the same time it will fall out at the same time that is of course if your hair is long and if you do go bald remember alot of girlie's love a bald man it is a scientific fact bald men have more testosterone cant spell that either so dont worry dont stress and remember some poor guys have to shave their heads to look sexy.

There are many methods to make our hair grow faster, shine , glitter in natural ways without using chemicals. Learn here https://bitly.im/aMM2D Men, and sometimes women, notice that their hair is thinning prematurely for several different reasons. Age, menopause, pregnancy, genetics, illness, and other factors all play a role in hair loss. Sure, you can use drugs or you can go in for a hair transplant or fusion, but sometimes the easiest, most inexpensive solution, is to try to stop hair loss naturally.

It's your mother's father that gives an indication of whether you'll lose your hair.
My mother's father was bald at 40 something but my father's dad had a full head of hair at 60+.
Me..I'm a bit of a skinhead..if you get my drift.

Use minoxidil spray (it fairly is only right standard as Rogaine, yet different agencies make it as nicely, and promote it as "minoxidil"). that's going to opposite the hair loss, and preserve hair, as long as non-end utility is complete for 3 months, and maintained.

It's because of the increasing of testosterone in your blood.
I don't think you can do something to stop it but try to think that: you'll loose some hair but you'll be better than the others at making love. I'm not kidding, it's Science.
