to any type of critic be it music, movie or who or whatever...???

Not really. Only once have I ever payed attention to ratings when going to see a movie and with music I make up my own mind because all the music that is considered "good" right now sucks big time!

When I was going to the movies a good deal, I had two critics I listened to or actually read their comments. Their tastes paralleled mine and two negative reviews would cause me not to see a movie.
This wasn't a haphazard thing, I tracked about a dozen critics for almost a year before I was able to eliminate all but the two I used.

It really depends. If everyone said it sucked, I would listen. If only some said it bombed, I would consider it
